Shaws Cove 6/29/25

Possibly one of the most surgy days I've been out in a long while. Surf was really calm and seemed like it was going to be nice under, but it was not. Went in targeting Spanish Shawls and Hedgpeth's Sapsuckers, got some good shots of the Shawls but no way I was getting anything of the Sapsuckers in those conditions

A bunch of Garibaldi eggs. This patch was notably less orange/yellow than I normally see. Possibly the color fades as the eggs start to develop more. Are the two black circles in each egg.. eyes?. Garibaldi, Hypsypops rubicundus

Could be triopha occidentalis. But even the book says it isn't sure they're a separate species. So for now I'll continue categorizing these as maculatas. Nudibranch, Spotted Dorid, Triopha maculata
